Keys to An Exceptional Experience
As with all successful relationships, communication is key which makes sense that your guest experience begins with a conversation. We want to make sure to curate itineraries for lodging, tours, tastings, dining, and entertainment that satisfy your wants & needs while visiting the Bourbon Capital of the World. We prefer to have a conversation by video conference or phone call to ensure we begin our relationship on a personal note.
During your visit to Bardstown, you can expect fine accommodations, exclusive tours & tastings, local dining, and seasonal entertainment options. We have worked hard to develop personal relationships with distilleries, restaurants, attractions, hotels, motels, and Airbnb owners which promise to provide a highly individualized experience. We also want to be transparent in that your visit to the area will be focused in Bardstown, the Bourbon Capital of the World and nearby areas. We invite you to plan another trip to Louisville or Lexington to experience those fine cities but to keep your day enjoyable, we will not be travelling back and forth and spending your valuable time in a vehicle. As a caveat, if you book 2+ days with Access Bourbon, we will have more time to explore and will gladly schedule tours and tastings farther away. We are also more than happy to point you in the direction of our local car rental service to do more adventuring.
Because of the popularity of Bourbon and the sheer volume of visitors to the area, we suggest booking your trip early. For an optimum experience please plan several months in advance.
A $200/$100 deposit is required to secure our planning services and allow us to begin the process of developing your itinerary. We will email you an invoice and our terms and conditions contract. When the invoice is paid, we will begin planning. Your credit card will be used to secure all lodging, tours, tastings, tickets, etc., and you will be advised of any upfront charges. Dining reservations will be made by us, but bills & tabs will be paid by you. We will provide all menus in advance with suggestions.
We are happy to discuss distilleries and tours that are on your personal wish list, but we hope you will permit us to make suggestions. Availability is never ours to promise but our personal recommendations & planning services are the greatest value we offer and will set us both up for success. When an itinerary is finalized by Access Bourbon, we will email a copy for you to examine and will communicate soon after.
While visiting, you (and your travel party) agree to all Terms & Conditions at all distilleries, restaurants, attractions, lodging, etc. at time of booking or reservation. Failure to comply with local laws and restrictions will result in termination of contract with Access Bourbon and all responsibility of and legal fees and/or fines will rest solely on the client.
When you decide to spend your day(s) with Access Bourbon, you can expect a 5-hour or 6-hour tour with Ginny Roby Holland, our local expert and hometown girl. Ginny grew up in Bardstown and is immersed in the business and culture of Bourbon and Bardstown. She will guide you through your itinerary in a way only a local can do, introducing you to the finest of everything Bardstown and nearby areas have to offer. She will be available to you and your party exclusively and will be attentive as your personal paparazzi. Her main goal for the day is to give you a Bourbon experience as exceptional and distinctive as the spirit itself.
We are completely and wholly dedicated to making sure you have an excellent time during your visit. We want you to sample the finest bourbon in the world, taste the most delicious fare, and experience southern hospitality at its finest. Access Bourbon wants to help you make countless memories that you will share with friends and family for decades to come and will draw others to the Most Beautiful Small Town in America.
When securing your tour date(s) with a deposit, the following cancellation terms will apply: When cancellation notice is received 48+ hours prior to scheduled tour date, deposit is non-refundable, but may be applied towards a rescheduled reservation within one year. All tour bookings and reservations will be forfeited or rescheduled for a later date per rules and regulations of entity. Cancellations are not accepted within 48 hours of the scheduled tour, and client will be charged the 5-hour or 6-hour minimum price as applicable. If cancellation is COVID related, the minimum 5- or 6-hour minimum charge will be applied to a future reservation.
